Scope of this policy
This Cancellation Policy explains when a gallery order or a bespoke commission can be stopped. It covers the period before a carpet is received. After delivery, our Return Policy applies instead.
Shipping timelines and packing are described in our Shipping Policy. The start of dyeing and weaving is the line this page draws for bespoke work.
Design approval
Bespoke orders require client approval of design proofs, colour, and dimensions before production. Until that sign-off, we work with you to refine the brief.
If you need to pause or withdraw before you approve proofs, contact concierge as early as possible. Work that has not yet committed yarn or loom time can usually be stopped.
Once weaving commences
Once yarn dyeing and weaving commence, custom orders cannot be cancelled or modified. Materials, artisan time, and loom allocation are committed to your unique carpet.
A hand-knotted piece cannot be unmade. That is why we ask for written sign-off before the loom is dressed.
Production timelines
Production timelines are estimates based on knot density and design complexity. They are shared in good faith and may shift with the nature of handwork.
A change in date is not grounds to cancel a commission that has already entered dyeing or weaving.
Gallery orders
Cancellation of a ready-to-ship gallery order is possible only before dispatch. After the carpet has shipped, the Return Policy applies instead.
If we have already packed and released the piece to the carrier, it is treated as in transit, not as an open gallery hold.
How to request a cancellation
Write to sales@divineteppich.com, message us on WhatsApp, or call +91 84310 31857 with your name, order or commission reference, and the change you need. We will confirm in writing whether the work can still be stopped.
- Contact us before dyeing and weaving begin whenever you can.
- Include the design or gallery piece name so we can locate the brief quickly.
- Wait for written confirmation. A message sent after the loom is dressed cannot unwind the work.
